Google Reader
Experimented using Google Reader today as a RSS/Atom feed news reader.
I have never really got into using one of these, and the first Google version was a bit clunky. I really like the ease of use of the new one. I think I will start using it.
Kind of wished I had starting using the Google Notebook for my bookmarks, rather than del.icio.us. They now embed links for you to add to it, right off the search results screen.
Google are getting pretty ubiquitous are they not? They already know shit loads about me via my mail and my search results! Privacy is a huge concern and regulation too.
They are so huge now and hold such an amount of information on the worlds citizens, I really think they need to allow you full, honest control over all the information they hold on you – and allow you to delete it – and I mean TOTALLY delete it by clicking one button. A few of the soNet’s got a kicking at the weekend over not actually deleting data and not making it easy.
This is the next big battleground. Ask already make a big thing about letting their users do it.
