Bought this on Wednesday (mines Black) and finally got it today – it had been with my neighbours since Friday.
It is really cool – so small and compact, but runs very well. Well, mine does not run so well, when I open one of the OpenOffice applications, the whole screen splits in half vertically, light grey on one side, white on the other and flashes like a mad thing – and I have to force a shutdown.
It is a real pain, I am going to have to organise it’s return – I imagine that will be a nightmare of trying to get packing, organising couriers and having to get it all delivered all over again! Arse!
I am already disapointed I did’nt go for the 4gb model, as my 2gb one does not have a camera, the Thunderbird e-mail application or the ability to update the RAM, which is a massive problem. I bought 2gb for this very reason, now I can’t use it. Hopefully will get a refund. I hope the 16gb SD card I bought for more storage works ok!
So, all in all, this has not gone very smoothly! I HATE when tech things go wrong! And, for the very first time, I went for the budget model, and it didn’t work out. Just shows ya!
I bet they wish they could have announced this at Jobs’ keynote on 15th Jan. This is the second upgrade to the line since I bought mine! Bastards!

For $44.6bn! Wow! That is a pretty good offer – 62% above what their shares were trading at on close last night. I reckon they may go for it, they have been struggling. Interesting to see that MS have gone in high with what must be their best offer.
This has been rumored in the tech world for many a day – watch this space – conference call at MS in an hour.
