For $44.6bn! Wow! That is a pretty good offer – 62% above what their shares were trading at on close last night. I reckon they may go for it, they have been struggling. Interesting to see that MS have gone in high with what must be their best offer.

Yahoo own del.icio.us [clicky]
Google made them do it [kind of knew that one]
Yahoo is an acronym for Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle [clicky]

Yahoo confirmed that it has received an unsolicited offer and said that its board would evaluate the proposal, “carefully and promptly in the context of Yahoo’s strategic plans and pursue the best course of action to maximize long-term value for shareholders.”

Microsoft has already hinted that it could get much more aggressive with its bid for the Internet giant.
