My walk to work
Prompted by this article saying you need an hour and a halves exercise a day to maintain weight loss – and thinking how I could shoehorn this into my lifestyle – that is a long time in the gym!!But they are right, 30mins of light exercise makes fuck all difference, I am a good example of this!
So, I wondered, could I either walk to or from work? Hot on the heels of my 3 hour walk on Sunday – I thought I could do it a few times a week.
The wonderful Google maps now do walking directions/times – my prefered route via Vauxhall Bridge is 4.2 miles and they estimate it will take me 1h 39m. I reckon I could do it quicker.

Course, I will be a fair weather walker! Summer a good time to begin! I’m going to do it tonight if the rain holds off.
UPDATE – It took me 1h 15mins. Might try a different route next time. Would be good to avoid the blockages around Shaftsbury, Charring Cross and Liecester Sq. Actually, looking at the map above, I went the wrong way! Might even try the Elephant/Castle way too. Nah, stick to the river.
